Why wait for New Years?

It’s officially Fall. This path to the end of the year can go several ways.
You are now all of a sudden very busy and can’t get to your yoga/exercise practice
The weather is finally ideal for walking/running/biking and you can’t wait to get outside and move!
It’s too cold to go to the lake anymore, so you stay indoors and watch the tele.
You reinvigorate your intention to establish a steady, faithful yoga/exercise practice and you can’t wait to get started.
The holidays are full of temptations to eat and drink more than usual and stay out too late, making you too tired to keep up your yoga/exercise practice.
The holidays and family gatherings stress you out; your yoga/exercise practice is your perfect tool to stay grounded and centered. You can’t wait to get started.

Check all of the choices that apply to you. Be honest with yourself. Now, re-read each of the choices you selected. Which road would you REALLY prefer to take if you could just get motivated? Need some help getting motivated? Private and group sessions can help point you in the right direction. It’s all about personal accountability. Your body is your greatest gift. When it comes down to it, if you’re not feeling good in your body, no amount of food, drink, and toys will make you feel better.
Consider that the days will grow shorter. Night will seem to arrive much earlier than usual. This is when I always want to snack more and be more sedentary. Why do we wait for New Year’s to set a RESOLUTION for the whole year? I invite you to try something much more doable.
I invite you to set an INTENTION for NOW or perhaps the first of November through Christmas. Consider that you will be tempted by
Halloween junk
Thanksgiving over stuffing
Food, drink, repeat during the Christmas holiday season

Keep your INTENTION positive.
I will consume one healthy vegetable a day. (French fries don’t count.)
I will eat fish 1-3 times a week. (Fried fish sticks don’t count.)
I will enjoy one quiet hour before bedtime without the computer or t.v. on.
I will set aside 10 minutes before bedtime or first thing in the morning for meditation. (Calm is a simple yet very effective meditation app that Bill and I use).
I will practice yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays at ____. I will sign up ahead of time and put it on my calendar with a reminder.
I will practice yoga with my private lesson on _____(s) and group lesson on _____(s)
I will add CoreFirst bands to my yoga practice to intensify strength building and calorie burning.
I will drink one full glass of water after one alcoholic drink. (This will require more potty runs but will lead to less hangovers!)
I will get a massage/facial once a month on _____. I will book those sessions now.
I will reserve one date night (even just dinner together without the media) a week with my companion.
You have lots of choices, but only choose a few that work for you. Consider treating yourself to some new, warmer clothes for those chilly walks. The new fabrics are much less bulky. Target, Title 9, Old Navy, and many thrift stores may have just the right item for you to get started.
Exciting new changes for NOVEMBER and into the NEW YEAR 2023.
ZOOM will replace MINDBODY as our sole platform. The classes will change slightly, based on comments from you guys. The PAYMENT system will be SQUARE. It’s super basic and easy. Before November 1st, I’ll need to get your CC information. You can call me with it or I can swipe your card using my Square app. SCHEDULING will be done on ACUITY scheduling. We are considering a HALF AND HALF class on Friday mornings at 10 a.m. It will be 30 minutes of Warrior type postures (no downward dogs). This will be followed by 30 minutes of Deep Stretch. You can hop on early or late. I am keeping a very low fee of $15 per class. You only pay for what you use. My private sessions have not risen in 5 years. They will remain the same. $70 for a virtual private session, $80 for an in studio private session, and $90+ for private sessions delivered to your location.
Are you motivated to get started? Let’s do it together. Here’s this week’s schedule.
