We’re open for back-to-school yoga & fitness!

Classes at Yoga by Dayna continue to be held in the studio and virtually. Please register for classes at least 30 minutes before class time. Stay ahead by checking the latest school on your Mindbody app. Here's the link:

Today we explore the idea of self study for contentment.

Svādhyāya: to study that concerns the true Self, not merely analyzing the emotions and mind as the psychologists do.

  • In the Book of Sutras, Book Two, we look at how studying ourselves enhances our life's experience.

  • Anything that will elevate your mind and remind you of your true Self should be studied.

  • Good sources of study include uplifting scriptures from The Bhagavad Gītā, the Bible, the Koran.

  • It is important to read and put into practice what you read.

  • Yoga claims there is a knowledge possible without the mind.

  • Yoga teaches us to feel with our minds and think with our bodies.

  • Taking your yoga practice out into your daily life will reveal far more wisdom than simply reading and studying.

  • Every experience, good or bad, will enhance your study of self and remove impurities.


Be sure to register for classes at least 30 minutes early.
